The National Archives’ new Mass Digitization Center in College Park, Maryland, is an 18,000-square-foot facility completed in October 2023. As part of a multiyear renovation effort, it was built to enhance the digitization of textual, photographic, and microfilm records. Outfitted with high-speed conveyor belt scanners and other advanced technology, the center significantly boosts efficiency and capacity for archival preservation.
Summit Construction played an integral role in the successful delivery of this project. Our scope of work included rough carpentry, installation of doors, frames, and hardware, gypsum drywall, and acoustical ceilings.
