The 5104 York Road Renovations project for Loyola University will transform an existing facility into a community-focused space that supports education, engagement, and workforce development. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the project is designed to provide flexible spaces that can adapt to a wide range of programs and events.
The renovation includes a multipurpose area for community events and workshops, along with a large reception space intended for small-scale retail uses and pop-up art events. The building will also house legal clinics serving the community, youth workforce and leadership development programs, and additional gathering spaces for public and university-led events.
Summit Construction Inc.’s scope of work includes cold-formed metal framing, rough carpentry, installation of doors, frames, and hardware, gypsum drywall, acoustical ceilings, acoustic wall treatments, and toilet accessories. Summit is supporting the delivery of a functional, welcoming facility that will serve both Loyola University and the surrounding community.
