The Health Professions Building Renovation & Expansion project at Shenandoah University involved the renovation of existing academic space and construction of a new addition to support the university’s growing health sciences programs. The project expanded classroom, laboratory, and collaborative learning spaces, providing updated facilities designed to support hands-on instruction and student engagement.

Summit Construction’s work included cold-formed metal framing, expansion control systems, rough carpentry, thermal insulation, gypsum drywall, exterior gypsum sheathing, acoustical ceilings, and acoustic wall treatments. The scope encompassed both renovated and newly constructed areas, requiring coordination with ongoing campus operations and integration with existing building systems. Summit’s work helped create modern learning environments that support the university’s health professions curriculum while maintaining continuity between the existing facility and the new expansion.
